Heavy Duty Mechanical Anchor

  ■ Material

Carbon Steel ; Stainless Steel

  ■ Surface Finish

Zinc Plated ; Ruspert ; Mechanical Zinc Plated

  ■ Product Description

Heavy Duty Mechanical Anchor is a pre-placed expansion anchor where the bolt is threaded from the front and features an expansion cone at the base. When torque is applied, the cone is drawn upward inside the sleeve, causing uniform radial expansion of the sleeve against the borehole wall. This design delivers extremely high pull-out and shear resistance, making it suitable for the most demanding safety-related fixations.

  • STEP 1  -  DRILL

    Step 1  -  DRILL

Use a hammer drill with the specified carbide bit diameter to drill through the fixture and into the concrete to the required embedment depth.

    STEP 2  -  CLEAN

    Step 2  -  CLEAN

Remove all dust and debris from the hole using a compressed-air blow gun and a hole brush. Repeat blowing and brushing until the hole is clean.

    STEP 3  -  INSERT

    Step 3  -  INSERT

Insert the anchor through the fixture and into the cleaned hole. Tap gently if needed until the washer contacts the fixture surface and the anchor reaches the required embedment depth.

    STEP 4  -  TIGHTEN

    Step 4  -  TIGHTEN

Tighten the top hex nut with a torque wrench to the specified installation torque. This pulls the cone upward, expanding the sleeve against the sides of the hole to secure the anchor in the concrete.

    STEP 5  -  VERIFY

    Step 5  -  VERIFY

Verify the anchor is fully tightened to the specified torque. The expansion sleeve must be fully engaged and the fixture firmly secured with no movement.
